consent to participate

From Term 3 in 2023, parent/carer consent will be required for students to participate in Kids Helpline @ School sessions. This can take a few forms:
  • Use the global consent form signed at the start of the school year for activities deemed low risk by your school administrators; or
  • Seek specific consent for participation in Kids Helpline @ School sessions. We offer a parent consent form which provides an 'opt out' choice or you can create your own consent form.

You can indicate whether parental consent has been obtained at the point of booking, or you can tell the Kids Helpline @ School counsellor in the free pre-session consultation.
